5 Hilarious, Inspirational, Uplifting Stars!!!
Cady Callahan wasn’t expecting to be training to run a marathon. Rick was less than impressed with his impending predicament. Cady is outgoing, Rick is all serious. Will they find a common ground or is it a disaster waiting to happen?
After receiving the first chapter in a Jane Harvey-Berrick newsletter, I found myself quickly clicking the pre-order button, as I couldn’t wait to read the rest of the story. I was not disappointed at ALL! This collaboration is amazing, the two different POV blend together perfectly, in my opinion, it’s not obvious that each POV is written by a different author. Jane and Stuart seem like the perfect collaboration, and I look forward to delving into more of the books they have written together.
This story from start to finish is full of laugh out loud moments, and even in times of heartache, Cady still has this aura of being upbeat and kicking life’s ass. She never backs down from a challenge, she’s determined and strong. She might not give up all the things she finds pleasure in, especially her doughnuts, however, she does give her training everything she has.
Rick is an intriguing character, and although he seems a sombre man, who takes his career as a trainer very serious, deep down he has a heart of gold. As the story develops, we discover the lengths he will go to, to help someone, and how great a guy he is.
Cady is good for Rick, she is the challenge he needs, because as much as he helps her to be an even greater version of herself, she helps him to crack through the walls and enjoy life that bit more.
I really loved this story, it’s the type of story you can happily read again to give yourself a pickup and even a little motivation to challenge yourself to be an even greater version of yourself.
Gym or Chocolate is a must read, humorous romance.
