I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

 

When Dani had lost all she loved, writing letters became her sanctuary. When her letter is answered, she finds something to live for. Just as life finally takes a turn for the better, demons appear, and rip her heart apart, all over again.

Letters to Lincoln is a beautifully written, emotional read. Tracie Podger has once again excelled with her talents for writing a story. A story that will take your heart hostage, rip it apart with the harrowing affects that life has, and slowly piece it back together; only to have our hearts raging with a new-found anger, and heartache for the demons that create upheaval for Dani, once again.

This story is about more than Dani, Letters to Lincoln is a story of survival, a story of healing, a story of fate and true love. This book is the kind of story you can read time and time again.

Dani although going through hell didn’t want sympathy, or even empathy, she just wanted the pain to stop, and the past to be changed. She was a strong woman deep down, although on the outside she looked lost, and broken. She was also a very caring woman and thought a lot of her family. I really liked Dani and I wanted nothing more than for her pain to stop.

There is so much I want to say about the characters, however, I cannot do that without giving away some, if not all the amazingness of this book. What I can tell you is there are an array of characters, some with steal your heart, some will fill your heart with friendship and some will not only annoy you, but have you feeling a proportion of loathe for them.

If you love emotional, contemporary, romances, Letters to Lincoln is for you.
